Little Big Man

Greetings! Well, Collin is now 5 months old.. I cannot keep up with this little guy. I feel as if I just got out of the hospital with him, but when I look at his pictures from just a few short months ago, I can see how much time has flown by. He's changed so much!

Actually, I would say I am having the best time I've ever had with him. Sometimes I wonder if it could ever get better than it is now. I don't want to forget how it feels to hold his chubby little body in my arms. Or how he looks at me when he's trying to memorize my face. I take as many pictures as I can, so I wont. And, of course, Tommy and I think he's adorable! Although I now find professional pics (the kind I like, anyway) to be so incredibly expensive, I manage to do an OK job with our digital and camera phone.

A few days ago, my sister-in-law, Dawn, and I took our boys to the mall to cure a bad case of cabin fever... and to celebrate Dawn's birthday! At Gymborie (baby store), we came across some cowboy booties... I had to have them!

Yeah... had to have them! My little man also happens to have two pairs of Wrangler Baby Bloomers (courtesy of my Daddy). SO... the next day, I got our camera, my little man, his booties and bloomers and had my own little photo session!

Collin was weighed at his last appointment about a month ago. He was 19 lbs and around 24.5 inches. At 4 months of age, that put him in the 97th percentile for weight and 75th for height. Now, a month later, I KNOW he's bigger than he was. I'm sure he's reached 20 lbs if not over. Hauling this fat baby around is quite the work out! Yep.. I can bench press fat babies. Beat that. ;-)

------------------------------------- WEEK 1 - SWIM CLASS-----------------------------------

We have a Water Baby! Actually, it's not the Water Baby class... but it's a pretty cool class at the Thornton YMCA. It is so much fun! Not much structure, but that's okay... plenty of opportunity to visit with our friends also taking the class. Dawn, Craig and their son Cole are in the class as well as Collin's gal-pal Ava and their parents Keith and Sasha. Today was our second class. And this time, our parents got to come!

Well, again, thank you for following us on our journey as new Mommy and Daddy! We are so fortunate to have each other... Tommy is the most wonderful father to Collin, and a terrific husband. Thank you, honey, for being so supportive of me in the past year. I could ask for nothing more than to be home with our son, and you've made it happen.

Love you all!
